Happy Father's Day...

I wanted to share a few images of the best Father's Day gift a Dad could ever ask for...

It was 6 years ago today; early on Father's Day morning that my wife and I found out that she was carrying a tiny life that would eventually turn into the girl you see here.

My little Scoot (short for Scootlebug) is a little tougher to catch with the camera these days; but every once in a while she lets her Dad get a few images.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Sunrise at Valley Forge...

Here is an image from this mornings photo outing to Valley Forge Park...

Had fun seeing and exchanging info with some photobuds! The light wasn't too great to start; but overall it seemed to improve once we moved from our original spot.

This morning gave me a really good opportunity to try out my new filters. This image was made using two different filters; a Graduated Neutral Density & and Graduated Blue filter. There is plenty to learn about using filters, including how to keep your finger prints off them. I didn't experience any strange color cast with these filters as I had read about recently. Luckily there is still time to change brands as I am not heavily invested in the one filter system I am currently trying...

Cloud Fire...

Here is one of the sunrise images I captured over the weekend on Saturday morning...

I spent the rest of the day trying to get back out for some more; but I never made it.

I did however; pick up a few new tools that I am going to have to spend some time learning how to use to get the look I want. I picked up a filter system and a few Graduated Neutral Density filters... slight curve there; but I am looking forward to learning how to make them work.

Catchin' Some Rays...

Just wanted to share this one that I managed to grab of the boys (Bach-L & Mozart-R) the other day. One of their favorite spots is by the big door to the deck for napping in a sunny spot.

This image also an example of how shooting in RAW can really help with bring out the final image. In this case; allowing me to pull detail from the foreground that would have been lost due to the heavy back-lighting...
