An iconic West Chester merchant... as seen from the outdoor dining area of Ryan's Pub.Have a great day! - Ed
Finally was able to get out and do a little evening and night shooting. I have been looking for inspiration lately, as my photography is in a bit of a funk. Never shot rides at a fair before and figured it would be a good time to try my hand at it. This was a local carnival, at St. Joe's church. There will be more fairs and carnivals as the summer progresses and hopefully I will get an opportunity to shoot some of them as well.
A milestone of sorts... I made it to the 100th image in my Project 365! Of course; I am only 63 images behind, and with the rate that I am shooting, that seems like a much larger number. Whatever... I am still having fun, learning, and working on my creativity. The actual numbers don't matter; and since I am the project manager on this one, I can always rename the project on December 31st to whatever makes it work lol!
I made this image in response to a question by another photographer regarding our first digital cameras. What, when, can and do you still use it, etc?
Taken this afternoon in overcast conditions at Longwood Gardens. This is a 5 shot image that I processed using NIK HDR Efex. This is the first time that I visualized and captured an image specifically for using as an HDR. I tend to try an keep my processing towards the realistic, "thats what it looked to me" side vs. the more hyper-reality side.
Not the greatest sunrise ever recorded; but hey, at least I was there, and I met up with a fellow shooter, Ed Heaton. While the shooting wasn't great, we did have a good discussion about gear, methods, and most importantly, being in and overcoming a photographic funk. Finding inspiration in the same locations and subjects; refreshing one own's perspective...
